Best henchman
so far, i think the best 3 henchmen for the a party is the warrior ranger and monk, but correct me if you think otherwise.

If you're still at four-person parties than you have a long way to go before you get to play using the "good" henchmen. At Yak's Bend you'll be getting three new types of henchmen and a party of six.
P.S. Q&A probably isn't the best forum section for this type of post, Riverside is a bit more 'general.' |

Maybe it's just me (being a good healer), but the Healer (monk) hench sucks. Big time, from what I hear as well.
The BEST henchie, for me, is the Cultist (which you get when you form 6 person parties). At least he knows how to use his power to keep my energy regen on overdrive. With him doing this, I can heal him AND the 4 other people in my party alone with NO problems. Still have yet to meet a player who infuses me this way . Jana |

The healer henchie is actually good because she is actually a dedicated healer who does nothing else, unfortunately she dies very easily and sometimes thinks shes a tank.
Late on the protection hechman is highly regarded because she casts Aegis. |

I dunno. The healer henchman is pretty dumb quite often. I mean, prime example is after a fight, she'll heal people up before thinking about reviving anyone. Healing after a fight is not necessary, IMO. They'll heal quickly enough. They don't use the heal over time nearly enough.
They're also not bright enough to avoid poisoned water if possible. No regard, they'll jump right in and start casting spells from there when there's no reason for them to do so. |

usually in the 6 party my boyfriend and i will take Healer (extra healing always nice), Fighter and Brawler (tanks are good when you're a couple of rangers together ) and Cultist, simply because he likes to cast blood well? which increases my energy regen

there is no right level or time to continue on with the story, usually whenever u finish up with the quests in a specific area u should go and continue the main storyline missions
as for henchmen, they are all kinda dumb its just bad AI, but it also depends on what character you are, if u are a tank then there is no need for the fighter henchies, a ranger or elementalist then theres no need for those either, but i always take the healer no matter what |

The healer henchy is great as a back-up healer. When your main monk is running low on mana or wishing that heal would regen quicker, the npc monk does a good job of keeping everyone else alive.
She is a bit crazy as a healer not running away from mobs when she really needs to etc but if you already have a main healer, this isn't something that the pair of you can't cope with. |

When I used the monk henchman, she was the best edition for single player questing, but yeah, she sure was a bit stupid in her order of healing, resurrecting, and fighting melee style.
I think the funniest one, though, was one day while playing with the henchmen, my Elementalist would bee line it back to where we got killed at and even go through the mountains and get killed before we could even catch up to where we had gotten killed at. This happened like four times. By this time I'm at a -60% penalty, and it was pretty hopeless that I could go on with so little health and mana. |

Later on when you get the healer and protector, they really kick ass.

I'm a W/Mo and I usually take the healer, mage, fighter, brawler, and archer if I'm doing all henchmen. I've noticed that the healer tends to focus on tanks and ignore the other classes. When I play with my warrior I get plenty of heals, but with my other characters I get ignored, and will sometimes die while she's busy keeping the NPC fighter at 90% health. |
